Are you living mostly in your head these days or your heart? Do you prefer one over the other? Do you bounce back and forth? I do.
When I’m in my heart…THERE IS NO JUDGEMENT of anything…not of others…not of myself. Have you ever had that feeling…that everything is just beautiful…and it is what it is and it is all perfect? There I times when I am here so effortlessly, and then times…when my head starts creeping in. Coach Ron said today, “The head is jealous of the heart….and the heart has patience for the head.”
When I’m in my heart….I connect with and through people deeply. I see them…and feel seen and loved. When I’m in my heart…I am truly living…and I find when my head takes over there is so much more trying…and less “JUST BE-ING”
I read this in Wayne Dyer’s book Change Your Thoughts Change Your Life (a book of writings on the Tao Te Ching). He quotes Nisargadatta Maharaj;
“Wisdom is knowing I am nothing
love is knowing I am everything,
and between the two my life moves.”
Dr. Dyer goes on to add this statement that I promptly highlighted. “And while you’re living, stay as close to love as you can.”
