“I see what no one else sees and I say what no one else says.”
That sentence jumped out at me from the page of a notebook where it had been scribbled down during one of our Soul-Full Living group calls a few months back.
Let me say this: I totally love that sentence.
The words mean exactly one thing: there’s an inner brilliance and fascinating creativity lingering within your being that is completely 100% unique to you! Yes, you.
So be honest – do you believe that? Do you sometimes feel as if there’s a mini-chihuahua inside your gut, barking and pawing to burst out?
What if you were to have the balls to accept the first part of that sentence as truth, and what if those cajones were then large enough to encourage you to speak your truth “out loud?”
But I understand. That might be perceived as arrogance. Heck, the whole sentence is a bit arrogant. C’mon now, really? You “see what no else sees?” Who the hell do you think you are?
And then you have the gall to speak it aloud and suggest that you are somehow a unique creature with a creative idea, suggestion, or plan that has never occurred to anyone before? Wow. What narcissism.
And I love it.
Because yes, you are a unique creature bloated with ideas and possibilities that have never been spoken by anyone else or put into play by another individual.
To be perfectly honest, I sometimes struggle with this concept. Why do I feel shitty when I admit that I want to be famous and move to a level of success where I walk past my picture on the cover of books at Barnes and Noble? I know that I believe in myself, and my message, and my ability to help others. So why does uttering it aloud make us wiggle in our seats a bit?
Simply because the world has told us to put a lid on it.
What a load of bull. I say forget that, and get back to remembering who and what you are. A unique being who is brimming with intention and has a mission on this earth: to share the ideas and brilliance that either no one else has ever had or has been too afraid to offer.
This isn’t just some pie-in-the-sky, woo-woo motivational talk. It really isn’t. Oh sure, I’ll tell you that it’s about magic and reclaiming the magic of the world. But that’s because the world IS a magical place and always has been.
It’s a magical place for dreamers and believers in infinite possibility. It was a magical place for Leonardo da Vinci, the Wright brothers, Steve Jobs, Mahatma Gandhi, and so many tens of thousands of others.
Why in the world would you believe that it’s not just as full of possibility for you? Just acknowledge that you see what others don’t see. Then speak it and put it into play.
“I see what no one else sees and I say what no one else says.”
What incredible beauty and freedom there is in that.
