Swimming is cool. Sinking can be fun, too. I used to swim fast and win competitive races. I also used to sit in the pool at my parents’ house and just – – sink.
I never felt like a rock. I always felt like a mermaid or a hovering fish. It was ethereal and majestic. I had long blond hair and it flowed all around me in tendrils. I would come up for air, flip over, whip myself around and then sink again.
When I held my breath I bobbed near the top. When I blew the bubbles out I sank slowly to the bottom and sometimes hit it with a little bump…bump…bump.
This is a way to EXPERIENCE a visual thinking world. Your hair, your limbs, even your bathing suit take on the fluidity of a marker in motion.
Swimming is great! If you live where I live I hope you get into the water as soon as possible and go for a good, long, energizing swim.
I also hope you find a safe place to sink, to bob, and to let your body relax. This is the work of the soul. I know know know, promise promise promise, that the work of the soul will radiate from the inside out and infuse your relationships, your work, and your goals with prosperity and joy. What the world calls: SUCCESS.
It’s time to swim – – and sink!
I love this illustration. So great.
