Women. Women make me wonder. For most of my professional life, I’ve seen women tear at one another. Knock one another down and criticize one another and their work, their parenting choices, their looks– what ever…. viscous scarcity and criticism and, yes, I can’t deny having gone there at times out of my own insecurity and my own need to look good.
As I grow to love and appreciate myself more authentically, I find myself seeing such beauty in the diversity around me. I see the amazing hearts of the women I work with, of the ones I don’t work with. I even have been able to let go of past pains I created around the “pain so-and-so caused me.” I see peers, and clients, and beautiful SHES doing amazing things professionally, at home, and in the sacred places in their spirit. I see wonder in the women around me..I see them bringing wonder-full things to the world. They are living in their gifts and sharing them WONDERFULLY WITH the world!
One thing I’ve seen some of…and the WARMTH of it just oozed over me during a contemplative moment this afternoon….is fabulous, talented women, sharing the talent and fabulous-ness of other women in their lives. I’ve noticed more of it these days and I like this trend.
I was recently connected to a program by Amy Ahlers and Lissa Rankin…through a friendly and loving email from one of my all time favorite-haven’t-met-her-yet-but-will-someday-mentors, SARK!
In online business building there is lots of affiliate marketing going around….and it is a great thing. Today that oozee of warmth that hit was about ENERGETIC affiliation and affection….simply sharing the goodness and gifts of the women that weave in and out of my life. It was about sharing them, and their offerings, and their spirits, just for the sake of sharing because the world could use more good juju, more creativity, more support, more self-love..more of these ladies’ light.
In another professional life I was programmed to think the competition must be dominated. That if there was competition, we should either get them to join us…and if not…crush them. When someone outgrew the company or pursued other gifts, they were talked poorly about, cut off, accused of being disloyal, and black listed instead of celebrated. I was taught about the energy of abundance, and yet I was also told every week that any competition was a threat.
I’ve come to believe something else about abundance. That there truly is enough— and honoring another’s greatness or contribution in no way is a threat to mine. Not everyone is a fit to work with me….and I truly believe there are some amazing women (and men) doing exceptional things out in the world that contribute to beautiful, healthy, abundant, and loving energy- My intention is to continue sharing my ju-ju and trust that it will resonate with some amazing people…and I intend to share more of the storehouses of good ju-ju I get from others in a new weekly feature called:
