Well hell…
I got caught in my own teaching this week.
I found myself avoiding the next right step.
Maybe this sounds familiar…
You have a task or goal or “to-do” in front of you that subconsciously you are avoiding by:
- procrastinating
- “getting ready” to get ready
- getting stuck doing absolutely anything else
- feeling doubt
- overthinking
I call this frothing.
It’s a nervous system response where we find it easier to feel a familiar discomfort than an unfamiliar one.
Well shoot, y’all, I was frothing this week.
I had 2 creative pieces on my list and I found myself doing anything else but them.
Then I caught myself. I recognized what I was doing and I used the tools I know I have to take action.
Now I’m sharing this experience, and how you can handle it in your world too, on the podcast.
