  • I have an important reminder for you: Stop looking back. Stop framing your future based on your past. I’m guilty, SO guilty actually, of doing this too. But we have to actively change this pattern in order to truly move forward. I’m sharing this now because it’s one of the two major takeaways I came away with from my mastermind last week and it’s the most impactful one I can share. So today I’m telling you the story of how I got called out on this during the mastermind and how we can actually change this pattern and reinvent ourselves. If you have even an inclination that this is you, or ESPECIALLY if you think this doesn’t sound like you (cough, that was me too), listen to today’s podcast (link in bio) and really reflect on how you are speaking to yourself. And of course, if you enjoyed this episode or it brought up any thoughts or insights, I’d love to hear!
  • I have a colleague who is putting out an offer. Her initial pricing was CHEAP and I called her and said NO. No to cheap. It’s ok for it to be hard. Stop needing it to be easy. Hard is good for your brain and being. Challenge + Skill =flow. Needing it to be easy keeps you in apathy. _______________________ If you don’t cross the line, fine. If you do- you are far more likely to joyfully create anything you desire. Even if it is hard.
  • I’m giving myself a natural mani/ pedi tonight. I’m meeting new people tomorrow and want to look cute. 😘 And while delicately painting my nails, I had a flash to my childhood and my parent’s bathroom. My parents still live in my childhood home 🏡. This is and has been their bathroom. It is seared in my being and memory. For 48 years. Some of my best memories are from my mom and her beauty regimens and bathroom. I remember sitting for pin curls and can almost smell the “dippity do gel” and the stack of bobby pins. I remember that before my mom got rheumatoid arthritis - she did her own acrylic nails. I have a flash of memory seeing her gently shape the powder into a beautiful nail before my eyes. I also remember a dremmel tool to smooth it. I have a high school memory of sitting with a friend on my parent’s bed while my mom sat at her beauty table and did her skincare and makeup. She did this hilarious soliloquy from the first dab of serum and moisturizer to the last swipe of mascara. We were enthralled and amazed. She was hilarious, and beautiful. and not only beautiful- she cared about her skin and hair and nails. She loved herself and modeled that. She gave me that gift. She gave me the love of embodied and expressed beauty and skin care. And a slight addiction to products!😉. Tonight Bill is dog sitting. I’m giving myself an at home evening of physical beauty care. It’s an outward expression of the deep adoration I have from the inside. Thanks, Mom. Jo Linda Crow
  • Where is your mindset today around accepting what is meant for you? I noticed towards the end of last year I had some things pop up when I realized what my revenue and profit numbers might look like for 2019. Even though I knew that 2019 was shaping up to be "better" than 2019 in terms of revenue, I was hesitant to consider this true until I saw the final books. This makes me wonder what we have trouble accepting for ourselves. I know that I put in my energy and time and knowledge into my business last year and that it was growing, so why did seeing the actual results feel a bit wonky? I'm curious if you've had some experiences like this, is there something that you think you are ready to accept and then when it possibly is happening, you feel hesitation?
  • In 2012 - 8 years ago.... I had to say good bye to my soul dog. This was Hank. He was 6 weeks old when I got him. 2 when I went through a divorce. 6 when I married Bill and he died at almost 12 years old He’s a good boy. And in his dying - he was on my bed and I was spooned up behind him. And as he passed- his spirit passed back through and up out of my body. And for that second and a half ~I felt heaven. I felt infinite love energy. And then it was gone. But I know it exists. And he and I are still connected. 💛
